Airport Check-In Procedures

Please be aware that the FAA requires all adults, 18 and over, to show valid government-issued photo identification (examples include a driver's license, passport or state identification card) at airport check-in. The name on your ticket/itinerary must match the name on your identification exactly. If you are traveling outside the U.S., all travelers will need a valid passport and you may also need to show additional documentation at your destination and/or in connecting countries. If you are traveling internationally (outside the U.S.) it is your responsibility to meet entry requirements for the countries you are traveling to or connecting through. For international travel, each passenger must have the proper documents for entry/re-entry into a country (i.e. correct visa, valid passport). Requirements vary, based on the passenger's citizenship and country of residence. For international one-way travel, you may also be required to show proof of return travel or onward travel. To determine the requirements, contact the embassy or consulate of all countries you are traveling to and connecting through. Please check these sites for more information: www.tsa.gov or www.travel.state.gov E-tickets To check in for your flight, go to your airline's main ticket counter with your government-issued photo ID to receive your boarding pass. We also recommend that you present a copy of your printed itinerary. Some airlines also permit e-ticketed customers to check in using self-service kiosks located near the main ticket counter. Most kiosks require that you have a major credit card with one of the travelers' names on it to retrieve your reservation and print your boarding passes. Paper Tickets If you have paper tickets you will need to present them at the airline's main ticket counter along with your government-issued photo ID to receive your boarding pass. Check-In Tips Please confirm your flight information and check-in location prior to each departure directly with your carrier. Click here for carrier contact information. Due to enhanced security measures, you will experience longer wait times at airports. Plan to arrive at the airport a minimum of 90 minutes in advance of departure for domestic flights and at least 2 hours in advance of departure for international flights.
