VHS to DVD Transfer

Have those old VHS tapes and afraid the VCR will one day eat them? Remember your wedding video?
video production Is your 8mm camcorder broken and you no longer can view your child’s first steps? Do you even own a VCR anymore? Did you know that VHS tape has a shelf life of only 10-15 years?* Tape broken or off the spool? At our facility, we can repair it and transfer it to DVD.

Videotapes were once thought of as the very best way to save the family memories. They met our needs until we discovered that after 10 years or so, the images started fading and the tapes started breaking down. The bad news is that once deteriorated, the quality of the tape is for the most part, lost forever. Yes, with some color adjustment, we may be able to salvage some of your tapes, but many elements of your video can never be regained no matter how much correction we try to do to it. And once the audio track is gone it’s lost forever!

Many of you also transferred your old Home Movies from 8mm film to VHS because that’s all that was available 10 or 20 years ago. And you’re going to lose that too unless you transfer it to DVD.

We can take your VHS tapes, Camcorder Cassettes including VHS-C, Hi 8, 8mm, Digital 8, Mini DV tapes and MiniDVDs and transfer them to DVD. By moving your video tapes to DVD, you are converting them to a digital format, eliminating the deterioration process that tape goes through. Every time you play your video it’s being run across several wheels and heads. All this friction deteriorates the video each and every time! A DVD will look the same on the thousandth play as it does on the first because the only thing touching the DVD is light. So nothing changes in the viewing quality. And speculation is that a DVD could possibly last 100 years!

Once your video is transferred to DVD, our studio can make inexpensive DVD copies for family members. It's quick and easy and the DVDs make great gifts.

It’s just a matter of time. It WILL happen. One day you’ll pop your VHS tape into your ancient player and all you’ll see is snow. Don’t let it happen to you! Preserve you’re precious family history to DVD now!
